Amr bil Maroof wa Nahi anil Munkar are Quranic word. It’s purpose is to encourage the good and prevent the evil. “Amr bi al-Maruf” means inviting to something desirable or obligatory and Nahi an Al-Munkar is a reference to a prohibition of the practice of something that is forbidden.
